2nd XI v West Bergholt (H)
The weather once again defeated both of these teams as the game was abandoned mid way through the first innings for the second time this season.
Knowing that rain was coming the skippers agreed a 30 over contest and Bergholt surprising elected to bat on a green wicket that had been covered for the previous couple of days.
The early exchanges went to the visitors as Anandraj and Hance looked to be aggressive but King and Edwards soon had a grip of the game as they started to beat the bat consistently. With the run rate slowing dramatically chances came as Anandraj edged to slip but the ball landed just short and shortly afterwards he slashed to cover point where Osborne couldn't hold on. King then had Hance caught behind only for the umpire to turn it down but the very next ball he trapped the Bergholt opener in front and this time the finger went up. As rain started to get heavier King then finally removed Anandraj as he nipped one back through the gate but only 1 more ball was bowled as the rain forced the teams off.
Disappointing for the Dolphins as they were looking to build on last weeks win but they go to Melton next week full of confidence.
